Went out to eat Chinese today which surprised the heck out of me seeing as how the hubbs hates to go out in public with our noisy kids (I don't think they're that bad...). It was all peaches and cream until we got IN the restaurant...they have a sort of flourescent lighting (i know...) and Squish freaked out! I think he thought we were at the hospital or something because he kept looking around crying...the poor kid has a serious phobia (I think it was the immunizations that did it...).He did calm down after a while and we had an ok evening...At the end of the night I cracked open my fortune cookie and chuckled at this......my life is way beyond perfection....~

Actually did some cooking today which for me is UNHEARD of~ I hate cooking...not really. I just don't have a passion for it. I don't think I really ever "crave" anything which the hubbs thinks is just plain weird...Never had a good relationship with food while growing up which probably accounts for the fact that I was "huge" back then. Today I decided to make some stir-fry which is always super fast and easy (yipee!) and was about to mutilate the cute shroomies when I grabbed my camera and took this pic...Loved how it turned out!! I even stepped out of my "Auto/Portrait" comfort zone and messed with the manual settings...don't even ask me what I set them to because I think I was just pushing buttons! :)

Got the boys some cute chairs today and they love em'! Bird's is a Handy Manny one and Squish's is a Mickey Mouse one...They will come in super handy whenever we go camping...hopefully sometime this summer!

So I'm officially attempting to hit the gym again...after a long hiatus, I've decided its time...I started training for the Seattle Marathon last summer/fall and was in the best shape of my life! But Lame-O me, never actually did the marathon....I completely psyched myself out and lost all hope. I stopped doing anything after that and maybe a couple months ago decided to start going to the gym with J-nerd...yeah, a couple months ago...I'm a horrible work out buddy. She finally disowned me as a gym buddy until today...We decided to go after work..only this time SHE ditched me...its ok, I deserve it...I'm gonna try my damndest to be motivated though!

Another beautiful day and so we ended up going to Bowman's Bay today. Its a great little place. They have a huge grassy area with a playground for the kids to climb all over and a trail that takes you to a great pier if you'd like or a straight into the woods...When you go on the trail through the woods there are a few little steep inclines and twisty turns but eventually it branches out and takes you to this great little beach! Theres no rocks, the water's pretty clear and its pretty secluded. IF only it was warm enough to take a dip!

Its Saturday and what does our little tribe normally do??? We go hiking! Now that the weather's nice, we've been doing it a whole lot. Today in particular the hubbs was mowing the lawn and the kids, Lucy and I didn't want to be stuck in the house so we went for a walk...I was hesitant at first because normally we all go so that the hubbs has one kid and I have the other (along with Lucy and the backpack/snacks)...But it turned out pretty fun...they ran and ran and ran which worked out great because by the time we got home, it was their nap time...Yay!!

Last night our poor Dorothy woke up sunny side up....Albert was devastated...He hardly swam and we just felt bad for the pitiful guy. So in response, the hubbs went out and bought a new little aquarium, a Dorothy Numero Dos and 2 new little buddies... The boys are super excited~ Every two minutes Bird asks us if we want to go look at his fishies...(what have we done...) He even gives hugs to the tank. I guess he really loves them. We did notice though that the 2 new buddies don't seem to be very friendly. They're going to go back and we're gonna go get some nicer fishies...

So Bird is being quite the typical picky 2 year old and dinner time is a battle lately. The one thing he will never pass up on is his Peanut Butter and "Jellyfish" Dinosaurs...This one is a horrible rendition but you get the idea...Horray for Peanut Butter!!!

Little Bird spit bubbles...had to snap a pic..The hubbs by the way is already sick of my photography (my biggest fan...yeah right!) I take my camera everywhere...even when we're eating dinner or go to the store...When he looks back at photos of the boys or whatever and sees my 365 pics/attempts he always huffs and says " Oh geez..." He better get used to it!!! I got 305 days left of it!

I was exhausted today and so my pic for the day is of what I like to call my little "bento" box. I love this thing! I found it on sale at Kmart and it has little compartments for food that helps you control your portions. I'm still trying to get rid of some "baby fat" from almost 2 years ago and portion control is my biggest drawback. Using this little puppy is going to be my savior...I hope...

One of those lazy days again...not much energy but did end up leaving the house on time for work....amazingly. So much so that I had a few extra minutes to kill so I sat in my car and snapped a pic of my daily crack in a warm and cozy cup...Since working the night shift, my caffeine intake has been multiplied by 1000. Yeesh! I need to find an alternative.

My poor Squish...he had a rough day. The poor dude fell and got himself a "buckle" fracture. Spent a few hours in the ER and left with some Motrin...no cast though because apparently it wasn't a complete fracture and it will heal in a few weeks...despite his "owie", he was still able to gimme a big ol cheesie smile for the camera!

Today was quite a fun day. It was Holland Happening here in O.H. and so they always have a parade, little booths and a carnival. We only went to the carnival because I know the the hubbs and kids don't have the patience to look at booths with me... Bird is getting to be so big! I remember last year the poor guy couldn't really ride any rides...This year he was such a big boy and rode the dragon roller coaster, the cars, and helicopter rides all by himself. He had a blast~! Squish got to ride the Merry-Go-Round and the cars with his dada but next year they'll be able to ride together WITHOUT mama and dada.

Lucy is the laziest dog known to mankind! If we let her, she would sleep all day!! Normally she spends the day in her kennel passed out. Today it was a nice day and the sun was shining everywhere so I closed up the doggie door to the garage and "made" Lucy spend time with us...Lo and behold, I find her passed out by the sliding glass door soaking up some rays..Lazy.

Spent the afternoon outside doing a little gardening...The hubbs bought this hanging plant a couple weeks ago and its supposed to attract hummingbirds...I can't wait until I see one, hopefully I'll be able to snap a pic of it!
